Working from Ullapool Harbour, Seascape offer tours to Seal Island and Lochbroom. Famed for the wildlife and scenery, our tours take in some of the best coastlines and views in the world. As well as seas birds, seals and sea eagles, we also regularly encounter pospoise, dolphin and whales. Also available for private hires.

Seascape Expeditions

Welcome to Seascape Expeditions.

We are based in Ullapool and visit the Summer Isles and Loch broom. We offer set tours, trips to Isle Martin and private trips, excursions and charters.

All weather clothing is provided and we are certified to MCA Code of Practice and is fully equipped with the latest safety equipment and electronics. Safe fun adventures on the coast of the Highlands.

Seascape Expeditions use an all weather, 300hp, 8.5mtr RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat).

Seascape Expeditions Routes and sights

Our route changes according to weather and season as the animals can change their habits according to where they are feeding and hauling out. We generally encounter the following.

Sea birds

We pass nesting sites of fulmars, guillemot, razorbill and gulls. We also encounter black and red throated divers, gannet, great skua and other sea birds.

Seals

We have a number of colonies of seals and haul out areas of both Common Seals and their larger cousins, the Atlantic Grey Seals.

Cathedral Cave

As we work through the islands, if the weather permits we visit Cathedral Cave, a magnificent cave that swallows the boat...

White Tailed Sea Eagles

The Loch Broom Sea Eagles are often spotted flying over the bay or on the coast near their nesting grounds.

Grey Seals

Halichoerus grypus

The grey seal is found on both shores of the North Atlantic Ocean. It is a large seal of the family Phocidae or "true seals". It is the only species classified in the genus Halichoerus.

Common Dolphin

Delphinus

The common dolphin is the name given to two species of dolphin making up the genus Delphinus. We sometimes encounter bottlenose, altlantic and rissos dolphin also.

You can book at our office at the entrance to Ullapool Harbour, however spaces cannot be guaranteed so we strongly suggest booking in advance.

Preparation

We supply all weather protection suits and it is advisable to dress warmly. Please ensure you are here in time to park, get to the harbour and put on your suits.

Trips are weather dependent and we have a minimum number of people required so please call to ensure we are going in advance.
